Kröslin eignet sich gut als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in den nordwestlichen Teil der Insel Usedom, wo man u. a. dem Informationszentrum in Peenemünde einen Besuch abstatten kann: dort befand sich im Zweiten Weltkrieg die Heeresversuchsanstalt, wo die berüchtigten V-2-Raketen von Wernher von Braun entwickelt wurden. Das Museum informiert ausführlich darüber.
