Sehenswert sind die malerische Dorfkirche aus dem 13. Jh. mit ihrem markanten Turm sowie alte Wallanlagen. Eine beliebte Adresse für Badefans ist der Strand im Westen bei Timmendorf, wo der Leuchtturm von 1871 steht. Die Natur- und Vogelschutzgebiete der Insel laden ebenfalls zu Entdeckungen ein. Wer Zeit hat, sollte der alten Hansestadt Wismar mit ihrer zum Welterbe der UNESCO gehörenden Altstadt einen Besuch abstatten.
