Von Colònia de Sant Pere lohnt sich ein Ausflug in das mittelalterliche Städtchen Artà, über dem die ehemalige Festung mit der barocken Wallfahrtskirche Sant Salvador thront. Auf dem Weg zum Burghügel erhebt sich am Hang die Pfarrkirche Transfiguració del Senyor mit ihren sieben auffälligen Bögen. In das erhabene Hauptschiff fällt Licht durch eine Fensterrosette und 15 hohe Buntglasfenster. Prachtvoll glänzt der Altar der Rosenstock-Kapelle im Stil des spanischen Rokoko. Rund 1 km südöstlich von Artà befindet sich in idyllischer Lage in einem Steineichenwald die prähistorische Siedlung Talaiot de ses Païsses (ca. 1000 v. Chr.).
