Von Oliva aus lohnt sich ein Ausflug in das nahe gelegene, quirlige Städtchen Gandía am Río Serpis. Sein Zentrum bildet die Plaça Major, wo die gotische Stiftskirche (Colegiata) und das klassizistische Rathaus ein harmonisches Ensemble bilden. Sehenswert sind außerdem das Museu Arqueològic, das die Besucher mit Hilfe modernster multimedialer Technik in prähistorische Zeiten entführt, sowie der Palacio Ducal mit seinen Prunksälen.
