Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten von Santa Pola sind der Fischerhafen sowie das Meeresmuseum mit archäologischen und völkerkundlichen Abteilungen, das im südlichen Flügel des Castillo untergebracht ist. Die Salzlagunen südwestlich der Stadt stehen unter Naturschutz und bieten zahlreichen Vogelarten einen Lebensraum, darunter auch Flamingos. Vom 1858 erbauten Leuchtturm im Osten des Kaps von Santa Pola hat man einen fantastischen Panoramablick auf die Bucht und die Insel Tabarca.
