Die “große Scholle” mit ihren pyramidenähnlichen Hochhäusern wurde von dem Avantgardisten Jean Balladur entworfen. Der 1968 fertig gestellte Ferienort verfügt über 130.000 Betten. Das turbulente Nachtleben und das große Angebot an Trendsportarten wie Kite-Surfing locken vor allem junge Besucher an. Wenige Kilometer östlich liegt der im 16. Jh. gegründete Fischerort Le-Grau-du-Roi, dessen Hafeneinfahrt ein 18 m hoher Leuchtturm sichert.
