Travel information
Die Altstadt von Palamós mit ihrer gotischen Pfarrkirche Santa Maria del Mar drängt sich auf einer kleinen Landzunge. Über den im 13. Jh. angelegten Hafen wird bis heute Kork in die ganze Welt exportiert, der von den im Hinterland wachsenden Korkeichen gewonnen wird. Die Geschichte der Korkindustrie in der Region ist im Museu del Suro im nahe gelegenen Palafrugell dokumentiert.
