Travel information
Sehenswert sind vor allem die Petrikirche (Ende des 14. Jh.), die St. Gertraudenkapelle mit ihrem Sterngewölbe und das barocke Rathaus aus dem frühen 18. Jh. Wolgast ist die Heimatstadt des frühromantischen Malers Philipp Otto Runge (1777-1810). Sein Geburtshaus in der Kronwieckstraße ist heute eine Gedenkstätte.
