General description of HR40 Surfing Safari This particular Hallberg-Rassy 40, launched in 2010, was sailed for the first six years mainly in the Swedish Lake Vänern and then in the Stockholm archipelago. Then in 2018 it was solo sailed, port hopping, during a few years to Greece (Athens), where it is now. The boat is primarily equipped for long-term sailing in the Mediterranean. So far it has not crossed any ocean. Most things that can be electrified are made for so-called push button sailing (Knappsegling). Take the opportunity and buy a boat that is already located in the best sailing waters in Europe and avoid the long voyage there. Like all Hallberg-Rassy boats, it is a solid, modern and well-built "blue water cruiser". You who look at this ad are probably already familiar with the HR boats, if not, you will get a good description on HR's website https://www.hallberg-rassy.com/sv/batar/aeldre-modeller/hallberg-rassy-40 . Therefore not all basic data and specifications are repeated here. The boat is extensively upgraded after delivery and continuously maintained. There are a number of spare parts and tools included that will allow the owner to do most of the maintenance, upgrades and repairs himselves without having to hire a marine workshop. Sailed distance 14500Nm. Engine Volvo Penta D2-55F, 55hp, 2100h, Gori 3-blade folding propeller, fixed propeller as spare. The boat makes a pleasant 6-7 knots for the engine and consumes approx. 0.5-0.6L/Nm. Swedish flag, VAT paid.
