This Sun Odyssey 509 is very comfortable, spacious and has excellent sailing performance. 6 to 7 knots in close hauled at 13 to 15 knots wind. The Large main sail can take 1st reef from 16 knots with no compromise to speed. Sail well up to 22 knots before reef required. The light wind Gennaker performs well for beam to close reach (40 - 80deg) in wind up from 6 - 20 knots. This boat is fun to sail as well as perfect for life at sea in the warm Adriatic and Mediterranean sea. Also will keep you warm (inside) during cold season!
