Unfortunately, the reason for the sale is a very sad one. This boat is an heirloom from my father, who passed away in 2023, and now I have to deal with the situation in the best possible way. He wanted to take it on a trip around the world and would now have sailed it back across the Atlantic to the Caribbean.The MAYA sailed under the name Fafa Piti until 2019 and was purchased in the Caribbean. (Purchased at the end of 2022) ---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- KNOWN ISSUES 1. The watermaker concerns me as it has not been working since October 2023. In July 2023, it was still operational, but very difficult, causing the pump to overheat. The 220V motor has been replaced as the old one burned out in 2020. I suspect it could be due to a blockage in the lines. The membranes also need to be replaced as I don't know their age (I'm assuming 2019, the year my father bought the boat).2. The generator has a slight leak, dripping diesel during operation.3. The two refrigerator compressors also lose refrigerant. They hold it for a while, but after a few months, it all leaks out again.4. The air conditioning is currently not functioning (unknown cause). The dive compressor is also non-functional (unknown cause).5. The hot water boiler also has no function (suspected faulty heating element).6. The wind gauge (display at the helm) sporadically shows no wind.7. The emergency hatch in the starboard hull needs a new seal. It seems there is a leak between the frame and the hull material.
