Långedrag 402 Designer Rolf ModigThis beauty was built in Luleå between 1996 - 2006 using Avesta Sheffield (Stainless steel SS 2377).This boat is a one off build by an experience boat builder. Total 6 boats was built before the builder passed away 2022 due to old age. Focus of the builder was to create a durable boat that is easy to maintain and sail by one person.L: 12.19 m (not including pointer) W: 3,78 m Draft : 1,8m Air draft : 17,5 m Fuel capacity : 500 liter Water capacity : 350 liter Weight: 12000 kgHull The hull was welded by a professional welder according to drawings made by designer Rolf Modig. Hull have 3mm plate and the spine is made from 6-9mm plate. The SS 2377 is around 2-3 times stronger than normal steel and thus creates a very strong boat. Extra reinforcements have been made in front of the bow/keel so there is low risk of damage due to collisions. The keel is welded into the hull and filled with 3,5-4 tonnes lead and creates a very solid and durable keel structure.All parts of the hull is made of stainless steel such as • Penetrations • Rudder • KeelThe builder purchased the strongest and best steel that the market could offer. To ensure the metal was strong enough a test was made by using a AK5 machine gun from 15m distance. As you can see on the pictures in the description the boat is literally bullet proof….Lifting points are attached to the deck and this creates endless possibitiles for lifting the boat depending where you are in the world. 4 pce of 8m slings are included.Superstructure The superstructure is made of a sandwich element with 3mm polyester on each side and distance material in the middle. The upper superstructure is made of 12mm polyester. Structural strength All forces that can occur to the boat when sailing/manoeuvring/lifting is taken up by the stainless hull. The superstructure function is only to ensure a watertight structure / keep the weight down and isolate against the cold. The structural strength is extremely over dimensioned and there is absolutely no risk that the structural integrity of the hull can be compromised due to building material and design.Rigg Selden offshore rigg from around 2006. Rigg is attached to stiffeners that is welded into the hull structure. Repainted area around inside windows2022 All outside fabrics replaced New septic tank and all hoses replaced Stern anchor winch installed, New pointer in stainless steel welded into place Teak installed in cockpit Repainted the superstructure with epoxy paintOwner comments Boat is absolutely magical to sail and handles very well in open waters as well as manoeuvring is tight harbours.. The weight of the boat creates a very safe and comfortable ride. Reason for this is the design from Rolf Modig and stern that releases the water in combination with a strong bow thruster.Boat was purchased 3 years ago and refitted for a 3 month trip around Sweden with 3 kids. The family have sailed around 2000 nautical miles and during these miles been handled by one person. The combination of the strong autopilot, electrical furlex and layout of winches makes it very easy to handle alone.Boat is one off build and therefore not applicable for Taxation in EU.
