Comfortina 44 was built in 1992 at the Comfortina shipyard in Arvika, Sweden. The boat is a unique one-off, as a prototype for what would later become the Comfortina 42. She was originally made for ambitious racing, which is clearly visible in the layout of the boat both inside and out. Standard equipment means that the sailboat is also well suited for sailing with family and friends or for those who like active sailing.The cockpit is sturdy and easy to work with for gas and sail handling, and has a bracket for Lagunbord. A total of 8 winches for furling/trimming sails and the high partial rig, trimmable with back and checkstays in Dyneema. Several sails in different sizes and materials ensure that you can maintain high speed in all wind registers and angles. The Valkyria's low weight and large sail area provide high speed even in light winds.
