Built in Sweden at Gustav Brenanders‘ boatyard in 1953, type högsjösnipa( offshore snipa (https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snipa)).
Engine: BUKH BV36, power 36hp. It is a lifeboat engine, started by an electric starter and, if necessary, a crank.
Sail area: 9.5m2.
Empty weight when lifted: 5500kg
Data from the Transport Board register:
Type: Small craft
Type: Motorboat
Category: C – Coastal sea
Permitted engine(s) power: 26.5 kW
First registration: 02.08.2023
Year of construction: 1953
Permitted number of people on board: 10
Length: 8.5 m
Width: 3.2 m
Draft: 1.2 m
Hull material: Wood
Load capacity: 800 kg
Country of origin: Sweden
Category, Load capacity and Permitted number of people on board have been determined by officials based on photos and measurements.
The boat is very seaworthy and category C is underestimated, the load capacity is definitely greater than 800kg and 10 people on board is a lot for a longer trip.
The underwater part needs to be repainted (primer + anti-fouling paint). The varnish also needs to be renewed. The engine needs oil and coolant change. The gearbox was replaced in 2003, the engine probably from 1984. Two batteries. There is a toilet, stove, sink and two bilge pumps, as well as two solar panels. The soft furnishings, sails and batteries are stored in a dry room.
The fuel tank has been removed for cleaning, it is easy to put back.
One good SEATEC Life Jacket X-PRO 300 life jacket and a couple of regular life jackets.
Wallas heater, which needs maintenance. The navigation lights wiring also needs a little repair.
