Bemerkungen

Now you have the chance to take over Sawubona, a safe and proven long-distance cruising yacht, ready to be sailed onward immediately. She is a Phoenix 42, built for offshore sailing and designed by Van de Stadt. We have thoroughly refitted her in preparation for our departure, and she has now taken us across the Atlantic—a goal we set and achieved! The boat is currently in the Caribbean, Guadeloupe, and is ready for the next owner to continue the adventure, whether that means sailing the beautiful West Indies this season or embarking on a longer voyage.

Before our journey, we carried out a comprehensive refit to ensure she would be reliable, self-sufficient, and comfortable for long-distance cruising. She is easy to sail both single-handed and with a crew, thanks to a stable rig, a well-thought-out deck layout, lines led to the cockpit, and an autopilot system. The center cockpit provides security in rough seas, and she moves smoothly even in strong winds, making her easy to handle on both long passages and coastal sailing.

We love this boat and know that she can take her next owner as far as they dream. We have documented her refit and have plenty of videos, pictures, and stories from us and previous owners. We are flexible and can sail her to another island in the West Indies if that would be more convenient for you. Get in touch if you want to know more!
