Marieholm 26 IF-E (International folkboat with an inboard engine)
Pretty and seaworthy sail boat with many more years to go.
brand: Marieholm
model: 26 IF-E
787 cm x 223 cm x121 cm
2150 kg
CE-B certificate => Offshore: includes boats operating offshore with winds to 40 knots and significant seas to 4 m (13 feet)
Year of construction: 1971 (Hull number 961, see photo)
Diesel inboard engine: Volvo Pent MD5A, works and is reliable
bought in 2023
extensive renovations in 2024:
• underwater ship: 2x sanded, 2x base layer, 2x antifouling
• new red cushions (have not been used)
• new sea valve for the cooling water + new sacrificial anode
• propeller has been cleaned
• professional engine service in 2023 and new impeller in autumn 2024
• original glued on liner in the cabin has been removed, the surfaces have been cleaned, sanded and painted with a heavy duty epoxy marine grade paint
• all wooden furniture have been sanded and painted
• window frames have been reinforced with screws and have been glued with marine grade glue
• kit between hull and deck has been renewed with a special marine grade silicone hybrid glue
• teak parts have been sanded and treated with oil
• new Lazy Jacks have been installed
• tiller tamer has been installed (allows to lock the tiller in position)
Various sails (1x main, 2x fock, 2x genua, 1x spinnaker): all are old but will still get you sailing
The motor panel (start button + fuel gauge) do not work anymore. But you can start the engine using a main switch and a starter button, both located inside lockers in the cockpit)
The navigation lights have to be renewed. A 4-colour LED light is available, but have not yet been installed.
=> the most time consuming renovation work has already been done. Install the top light and if deemed necessary buy new sails and replace the motor panel and you will have a cheap but seaworthy sailboat
location: Marina in Scheveningen, Netherlands (you cannot take over the berth)
