Project boat for sale) huge potential!!

Norwegian boat welded in Arndal in 1983

Boat is registered in Norway but its on land in Stromstad (Sweden). Viewing by appointment only.

Solid sailing boat with great potential. I bought it to use as an expedition boat but I just don’t have the time.

Some positives;

Solid steel hull
Ray marine Autopilot
AIS plus VHF
Liferaft (out of date)
large spacious interior
ice re-inforced at the bow all the way down to the keel line.
relatively new radar, cable needs two be connected
New ray marine SatNav/Radar screen. Access via cockpit.
large interior – headroom at the galley is 188cm
Sails are in fair condition
Teak on deck is in good condition- some spots need attention
safe and deep centre cockpit
All winches within reach in the cockpit
comes with a huge amount of equipment
New house batteries
Large sail area, with extra stays supporting the mast. Approx 20m high.
dinghy (bit worn out) with outboard included
Selden mast in great condition with extra standing rigging.

Known defects;

Engine needs to be serviced and needs attention.
New starter battery
New fuel tanks needed – old ones are rusted. They can be replaced quite easily
New seal around propeller shaft needed – taking on small bit of water – hence why it’s on land.
Small leak around top hatches. Water has come in there in heavy rain in the past
Radar cable needs to be re connected
Some wooden panels on the inside need to be replaced due to water damage.
new anti-foul needed
New zinc

In summary;

Huge potential, but definitely needs to repairs internally. She sails very well upwind and she’s very steady in bad weather due to her size and weight.

Reluctant to sell her but I just don’t have the time to fix her up.
