For sale our beloved Contessa 35s „Karate“. The yacht was built at Jeremy Rogers Limited boatyard in Lymington and launched in 1976; she was hull number 30 of the 78 Contessa 35s constructed there. Karate was built for Jeremy Rogers himself and she was raced in the One Ton Cup in Marseilles in 1976. Construction

From the same hull mould as the original and most competitive Doug Peterson-designed and Jeremy Rogers-built One Tonner – Gumboots. GRP hull and deck incorporating both woven rovings and uni-directional mat rather than just chopped strand mat. Deck is end-grain balsa sandwich. Lead fin keel with spade rudder – and wheel steering, giving more space in the cockpit. The teak seating in the cockpit. Teak interior joinery.

Accommodation

In the main cabin 2-burner gas cooker with grill and oven. Cold box with a small 12v cooler. Stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water. New electric sea toilet with hot & cold pressurised water to the hand basin and shower head. Great storage in the big after compartement.
