Yacht description
The Hakes Marine, HH42 is a fully optimised high performance grand prix racing yacht. It has been designed by Judel/Vrolijk & co to be the fastest in its size around the race track, and to be competitively raced and win on IRC as well as ORC.

HH42 is a no compromise racing yacht designed with flexibility for both inshore and strong offshore performance.

Boat underwent further IRC/ORC optimisation during the 2019-2022 seasons. It is fully upgraded- and ready for a new campaign. Very well prepared for offshore- watertight, strong structure, halyard locks, doubled systems. Yacht Is very well maintained and regularly serviced by a full time Boat Captain. When not sailed, boat is stored on a cradle under full cover.

New 2019 Keel 3.2M draft from McConaghy China, fabricated weldox 700 steel keel fin, cast and CNC milled bulb.
New 2022: Rudder foil high ratio, Carbon autoclaved prepreg stock and blade
JP2 rudder Bearing- water tight & self aligning.
Custom carbon tiller with Spinlock extension + spare tiller/ extension.
Keel socket integral with hull shell laminate-Keel socketed to hull for easy and quick removal and installation, and enhanced safety and stiffness.

Southern Spars carbon rig with engineered high modulus fibre for increased stiffness and weight saving.
