– I have a berth in Oslo for the rest of the season. At least until mid-September. The space can be borrowed and used during that time.
– The boat is pretty much ready to sail. It will need some service; lubricating the furling forestay, lubricating the gears, changing the filters, etc. Minor issues.
– It has an old echo sounder, otherwise sparse electronics. I have used an iPad with Navionics as a chartplotter. It is an old VHF, but it does not work at the moment. It is an old Eberspracher that I have never used and do not know if it works. But the infrastructure is in place.
– The boat has an autopilot.
– The sails are fine. I bought them used the year before last, but they were almost unused from the previous owner. Has been on an HR342, but the dimensions fit.
– The boat is dry. No corrosion behind the switchboard, and couldn’t find any rust. This indicates a very dry boat.
– Engine: the engine is in very good condition. The transmission and engine were replaced in 2004. It is now a 28 hp Volvo Penta. Always starts on the first try.
– Teak and mahogany are in OK+ condition. But it could need to be refinished on occasion. It’s an old boat, so there are som leaks from the deck, especially when large amounts of water hit the deck when sailing. This has not prevented us from using the boat a lot, but it can drip some.
– The boat has many good qualities and is solidly built. But you have to put a few hours and maybe some money into some upgrading. I have listed it for this price with the awareness that there are some cosmetic and practical upgrades that can be made – but that do not prevent the boat from functioning well today.
– The boat is very well suited for sailing in heavy seas, with a half-length keel and a solid center of gravity. It is a quality boat. Drawers and cabinets are still original and good as new. That says a bit about the build.
– Toilet replaced 2 years ago and septic ok.
– Lanterns; Motor lantern needs to be replaced.
– Old liferaft. Older solar cell system. Good amount of rope, a couple of anchors, chain, miscellaneous for mooring.
