The Olle Enderlein 32 (OE32) is a classic long-keel sailing yacht renowned for its solid construction and seaworthiness. Designed in the early 1970s, it remains a sought-after vessel among sailing enthusiasts, the OE32 has generally maintained its value over the past decades. Factors contributing to this stability include its reputation for durability and the continued interest in classic sailing yachts. A well-maintained boat with a solid hull, excellent sailing performance, and outstanding onboard comfort.
About the boat model:
The OE 32 was designed, as the name suggests, by Olle Enderlein in 1971. The idea behind the design was to create a high-quality bluewater cruiser that, in addition to being practical and functional, would also be beautiful to look at. The design was a success, and the OE 32 became one of the most built boats in the OE class, with around 200 units produced.
The boat offers a total of six berths, including the saloon sofas where the backrests can be repositioned to create full-sized sleeping spaces. The layout is classic, with a quarter berth to starboard just below the companionway and an L-shaped galley to port. Forward of the saloon is the head, and one step further forward brings you into the forepeak cabin with a double berth. The cockpit is spacious and safe to sit in. The interior in this boat is of a high standard, featuring horizontal teak slats on the hull sides instead of carpet.
The boat has been well updated and maintained over the years. Part of the teak deck was extensively renovated 2022 (replaced silicon, replaced plugs and a delicate sanding plus oiling). As for family reasons I was not able to to the same with the rest of the teak deck. Among other things, the boat is now equipped with a powerful 42 hp Vetus engine for smooth propulsion on calm days, in rough seas, or heavy winds. Additional upgrades include shore power system, a newer cockpit cover, and reupholstered cushions.
During the survey conducted in connection with the 2022 sale, the teak deck was found to be dry, although a few slats were loose and several screws were missing plugs. The current owner has refreshed the deck with new caulking and replaced many plugs to provide a pleasant finish. However, the teak deck is old and has surpassed its expected service life.
This boat features a beautiful solid teak interior, which was installed in the final ~70 OE 32 units built. All in all, this is a sturdy vessel with the potential to cross oceans.
Hull cleaning nd anti-fouling was redone April this year. Motor was serviced also.
The boat is currently in Grundsund Marina
