FOR SALE – 2003 BENETEAU 423 – 2 CABIN

We purchased our fabulous, like-new 2003 Beneteau 423, a 2-cabin model, back in April 2023, following extensive research.

From its original purchase, it has been used primarily as a weekend cruiser by its original owners and has never been chartered. Selling due to a new business venture, and we won’t get the time to use it, which is gutting but necessary.
Since our purchase, it has undergone over £30,000 worth of expenditure to bring it to a very competent, well-equipped and comfortable ocean-going boat. Receipts/invoices are available to prospective buyers.

Some of the professionals‘ (hand-selected contractors) work includes:
– Full replacement of rigging, including turnbuckles
– Complete replacement of house batteries with Victron equipment providing 600Ah of power – and a 3000W inverter/charger
– Full engine inspection and cooling system upgrade
– All through hull fittings were inspected and replaced including new diverter valves, etc.
– Propeller shaft cooling system upgrade and new bearings
– Full hull inspection, dealing with any surface rust and repainting
– Furling system overhaul and sails cleaned and UV protection applied
– Bowthruster overhaul and new propeller
– Fridges are overhauled and work perfectly in those hot climates

Other items/upgrades include:
– New 2.8m dinghy
– 2hp Honda outboard
– Rocna 25 anchor
– New spray hood
– New 6-person liferaft

The boat is currently moored in the marina at Mar Menor, Spain, and is transferable to the new owner. It’s a fantastic location and an inexpensive place for inexperienced as well as experienced sailors due to the vast lagoon, which is a great playground, and access to the Mediterranean sea.

The boat is EU VAT paid, so there is no need to sail backwards and forwards to a non-EU location to reset the VAT, and it is now registered on the UK SSR register.

Designed by Groupe Finot, the 423 strikes a perfect balance between performance and livability—ideal for extended cruising or luxurious weekends on the water.

For this two cabin boat, the large galley is to starboard and aft of the companionway. The mid-ships day head is to port and forward of that is the navigation station. The salon has a settee to port and u-shaped lounge and table to starboard. The owner’s stateroom is forward and has a large v-berth and an ensuite head with shower. The private guest stateroom is aft to port with a large berth and private access to the mid-ships head.
