Boat Overview
Dan Marco IV is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54DS. Widely regarded as one of the finest bluewater cruising sailboats in her class, and „Dan Marco IV“ is an outstanding example of this proven design. Built for comfort, safety, and long-distance performance, she is a capable passagemaker and a luxurious liveaboard in equal measure.
Designed by Jacques Fauroux with styling by Vittorio Garroni, the 54DS features a strong and stable hull combined with a powerful sail plan. Her deep keel and wide beam provide excellent righting moment and directional stability, delivering dependable handling in a variety of sea states. Whether on a coastal cruise or an offshore passage, she remains well-balanced, secure, and responsive.
The deck layout is clean and efficient, with all lines led aft for easy single or shorthanded sailing. Her large, protected cockpit offers plenty of seating and is ideal for both sailing and entertaining. Twin helms provide excellent visibility and control.
Below deck, Dan Marco IV offers exceptional volume and light thanks to her raised deck saloon design. Large windows bring in natural light and allow for panoramic views from the saloon. The interior is beautifully finished with warm wood cabinetry, quality upholstery, and attention to detail throughout.
Accommodations include a luxurious full-beam master cabin aft with a centerline queen berth, en-suite head and shower, and generous storage. Forward are two guest cabins and an additional head, providing comfortable sleeping arrangements for six or more guests. A fourth cabin can be configured for additional crew, storage, or converted for other uses.
Dan Marco IV is equipped for extended cruising with large tank capacities, ample storage, and robust systems. She is equally at home exploring coastal harbors or crossing oceans. Her combination of performance, comfort, and classic styling make her an ideal choice for discerning sailors looking for a true liveaboard cruiser.
A rare opportunity to own one of the most respected cruising yachts ever built, Dan Marco IV is ready to carry her next owners to new horizons in safety, style, and comfort. Presently cruising the Caribbean, the owner is looking to enjoy land life for a while and would like to see it go to a good home.

Owners Comments and Boat History
This is an unbelievably comfortable boat with emphasis on the cockpit. I’ve lived full time for going on 7 years now and have maximized the efficiency and space thoroughly. I’ve installed a custom work bench for the water maker and maintenance supplies in the port aft locker, I’ve made a warehouse in the starboard aft locker for rode, parts, tools etc. I have been single handing the boat for 6 months now, it’s an amazingly simple and efficient setup. The boat is turn key ready, I plan to leave most of the tools and accessories for the next owner. I take a lot of pride in the boat and I hope the next owner will too
Purchased out of a small charter fleet in Martinique (star voyage) in 2018. Full time live aboard since, sailing exclusively around the Caribbean. All of the eastern Caribbean, north coast of South America down to Panama and back up to the Dominican Republic and around again. Major refit and haul out in 2023 in Cartagena.
