The Bavaria 42 Vision, launched in 2018 and named Voyager, is a beautifully maintained and exceptionally well-equipped sailing yacht currently based in Slano, Croatia, under UK flag. With only two owners since new – the first having barely used the boat – Voyager has been meticulously cared for and upgraded, offering an ideal platform for extended cruising in comfort and style.
Every year, the boat sails to Montenegro for a short trip, maintaining the renewable 18-month VAT-free period within the EU. This approach, combined with thoughtful onboard systems, makes Voyager a smart and self-sufficient option for those who value independence on the water.
Voyager measures 12.80 metres in length, with a 4.05 m beam and a 2.07 m draft. She features two spacious cabins and accommodates four people comfortably, with two heads – one electric and one manual – both with holding tanks. Powered by a reliable Volvo Penta D2-60 engine (60 HP) with just 930 hours of use, the yacht is in excellent mechanical condition, with the last engine service completed in late 2025. Her sails are made of high-tech laminate with vertical battens and furling systems for ease of handling.
Notable extras include air conditioning in both cabins, three electric winches with the Bavaria Trim Control and automatic tack system, solar panels mounted on the bimini with Victron Bluetooth charge controller, and a hydraulic bathing platform with remote control and hot/cold shower. Additional highlights include a bow thruster with new AGM batteries (2025), a Mastervolt 2000W inverter, and AGM batteries with a total capacity of 520 Ah.
The yacht is fully equipped with Garmin navigation electronics, including GHP12 autopilot, AIS 600 transceiver, two GPS plotters (Garmin 922), multiple GMI20 displays, and both fixed and wireless VHF units. Ground tackle includes an electric windlass with 60 metres of 10 mm chain and a 20 kg stainless steel Delta anchor, as well as a secondary anchor with 50 metres of line. Twin Carbonautic steering wheels, a folding composite gangway, and custom deck lighting add both practicality and flair.
Comfort aboard is enhanced by a full set of cockpit cushions, sprayhood, bimini, sunshades on the sides and rear, luxurious LED lighting, window blinds, and quiet fans in every cabin. Additional features include a dedicated slide-out for a coffee machine/microwave/toaster, a four-person liferaft (serviced 2024), inflatable life jackets, safety lines, shore power cables, and a generous inventory for four.
Voyager stands out as a rare opportunity for those seeking a modern, safe, and exceptionally comfortable yacht, ideal for both relaxed coastal cruising and extended offshore adventures. With her elegant design, technical independence, and premium features, she offers the perfect blend of performance and luxury at sea.
